LESSON 21
NOTICE WHAT YOU'RE NOTICING

Why is it significant to Notice What You're Noticing?

It is significant because when you begin to have greater awareness of what you're doing, saying and thinking, you will begin to realize why you are getting the results you are getting in a particular area of life. For me, it was my interpersonal (spouse, significant others, children, friends, etc.) relationships. I was oblivious. I wasn't aware or attune to how I was showing up. I was living a double life. One way on the outside to others and another way on the inside to my interpersonal circle. I heard a quote once by an Evangelist and he said, "The most damaging thing to the Christian community wasn't Pastors who had infidelity, but rather normal Christians who modeled to their kids and those closest around them this double-minded standard of being a "hypocrite." Say one thing, but do another. Hypocrisy has turned more children, spouses and others off to the gospel than any other sin. In the book of James it says,

"But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind. For that person must not suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." - James 1:6-8.

Therefore, it is imperative we begin to Notice What You're Noticing.

In this lesson you will learn about the importance of what it means to be aware of your thoughts, programs, beliefs, and patterns that are running your life. We will discuss "triggers" which are programs embedded in your subconscious mind that like booby-traps activate when you least expect them.

What does it mean to Notice What You're Noticing?

In this lesson we will expound on what you learned from Lesson 2 Above the Line Thinking to help identify what it means "To Think is to Create." Here we will discuss in depth the process of our thought life all the way through to the results you've been getting. In addition, we will provide you with an exercise to identify your core values that drive your decisions. Remember, values are your boundaries and when these are broken, you feel devalued. Therefore, when you begin to take notice of your life and how you are showing up, awareness lights up, and options for change become available.

What’s at stake?

Your vision of everything you want BE, DO and HAVE is at stake! Helen Keller once said, "The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision." If you DO NOT pay attention to your thoughts, programs, negative emotions, and limited beliefs it is as if you are "consciously blind." Therefore, Notice What You're Noticing! When you do, you can be responsible and accountable to you, others and God.

Numbers 14:18

‘The Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving iniquity and transgression, but he will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, to the third and the fourth generation.’
