LESSON 40
LEAVING YOUR CONTRIBUTION

Tips/Nuggets

In Lesson 40 of the My Agreements with Me for Believers workbook, we are discussing what it means by "Leaving Your Contribution". When we steward and focus our attention, time, energy, intention, and resources in the direction of the God-inspired vision for our life, nothing and no one can stand between us and our purpose.

Luke 6:38
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Leaving your contribution or “mark” in this world is one that should be in the forefront of our lives. The word contribution means to “exercise” or put into activity. God created each and every one of us with a unique purpose in mind. The ancestors and generations that were here before us, either left curses or blessings as the family line grew.
As believers, we have the power, ability and strength to withstand and overcome every obstacle and challenge in our lineage. To make a mark for our children and grandchildren through the word of God. It is our God given right to leave our contribution better then we found it.
The key is simple. We get to decide what needs to be changed in our bloodline. Once that decision is made, you begin to take the steps necessary to make it happen. If we come from parents who abused substance, it’s simple, we don’t pick up a substance. If we come from poverty and lack its imperative we work hard and learn the principle of giving. If we come from unhealthy and overweight, we learn self control and how to take care of our bodies.
Leaving your contribution is not an impossible feat. All things are possible with God through the instruction of his word. We just have to decide and have enough faith to take the first step.
Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments-Deuteronomy 7:9
“The quality of your life will be determined by the quality of your contribution. When you work to improve the lives of others, your life improves automatically.” – Kurek Ashley
