LESSON 49
A MESSAGE FOR YOU
In Lesson 49 of the My Agreements with Me for Believers workbook, we are discussing "A Message for You." In life, there is always something to learn (a message). Whether through an experience, an event, a discussion, etc, a message of knowledge or wisdom (learning) is being conveyed along your journey. Be open to everything and attached to nothing. Awareness (physically and emotionally) and discernment (spiritually) are your weapons of wisdom.
Tips/Nuggets
In life, there is always something to learn (a message). Whether through an experience, an event, a discussion, etc., a message of knowledge or wisdom (learning) is being conveyed.
Nugget #1: Be Open To Everything and Attached To Nothing - When you are open you are able to allow new information to come in. This gives you the ability to keep what you want that honors God and blesses you. And when you are NOT attached to anything you DO NOT POSSESS it. Therefore, you are able to enjoy it and be thankful for it. It’s when we begin to attach to things we want to “CONTROL” it. Because we fear we can lose it or it goes away. We begin to hold on tighter and we can abuse and suffocate the very thing we meant to love and enjoy.
Nugget #2: Awareness (physical and emotional) and discernment (spiritually) are your weapons of wisdom. By now you will have grown to be more in tune by listening to your physical, emotional, and spiritual manifestations of evidence through your solar plexus (gut); along with the Holy Spirit. God is within you.
Nugget #3: Love and Compassion (John 13:34-35) - Love one another as Christ has loved you. Seek peace with all men. Display grace, mercy and compassion when necessary.
Nugget #4: Salvation through Faith (John 3:16 and Ephesians 2:8-9) - We have been given a free gift through the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ to save us from eternal damnation in Hell because of our sins. And it is so simple all we have to do is believe in our hearts Christ is Lord of Lords, and King of Kings and confess with our mouths we are sinners who have fallen short of His glory and we will have eternal salvation with Him in Heaven when we die.
Nugget #5: Repentance and Forgiveness (Acts 3:19 and 1 John 1:9) - We must humble ourselves by acknowledging our sins (shortcomings) before God and declare repentance (the turning away from our sin) in order to receive the assurance of forgiveness. We see this humility in the Lord’s prayer, “Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us.”
Nugget #6: God has a plan and purpose for your life (Jeremiah 29:11 and Ephesians 2:10) - the Bible emphasizes that God has a purpose for each of us. “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations." - Jeremiah 11.
Overall, the message is God loves you, He offers His message of Salvation through Jesus Christ, and the call to live a life aligned with His principles.
Going Deeper in the Word

“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Real Talk
In this lesson we discussed A Message For You. What messages did you get out of this study?
If you really want to live your best life and live out your Vision for your life, you must first know who God is. And not just knowing about God, but getting to know Him intimately. How you do this is to spend quality time with Him. Spending time with God is a beautiful form of tithing of which you will reap a harvest worthy of your time.
And as you do, you will have more and more understanding of what God wants for your life. His will, not yours. You will actually begin to hear and listen to His wisdom from His soft sweet voice. You will have His covering as well as his favor.
“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” - Matthew 6:33.
“I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in!” - Malachi 3:10. This verse is a picture of blessing and promise. It shows us what God's heart is towards those who love Him.
